Service Animals Pets are not permitted. Service dogs must be properly leashed or harnessed. Be aware that geese, peafowl, squirrels, and other local wildlife roam freely throughout the Zoo. Clean up and dispose of any waste your dog may leave.
Can I take the dog to the Zoo?
All dogs must be registered to the owner/handler walking them through the zoo. Handlers must be over the age of 18 and also not responsible for managing children. All dogs attending the zoo must be evaluated by a licensed veterinarian at a minimum of once per year.

We are only able to permit registered assistance dogs to help disabled visitors. Whilst assistance/guide dogs are welcome they will not be able to accompany guests onto any of the rides.

Each guest gets one piece of browse to feed. Browse is vegetation, such as twigs and young shoots, eaten by animals. Depending on the day, guests can feed our giraffes acacia browse (which is what giraffes eat in the wild) or another variety like mulberry or honeysuckle.

Can dogs go on roller coasters?
Animals cannot safely ride roller coasters such as the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Expedition Everest or any of the mountains. They can’t be secured in the seat, so riding puts them at risk. They are permitted to board most other attractions as needed.
