Dogs can be walked on the shingle beach at Cley and Salthouse throughout the year, but ground-nesting birds are often present between April and August. Please keep your dog under close control and walk as near to the sea as possible during this important time.

Dogs are welcome in the parkland, woodland, on the lakeside walk and main drive, as well as on rights of way across the wider estate. Please ensure: Your dog has a reliable recall and will return to you when called the first time in any situation. You can clearly see your dog at all times.
Can dogs go on Cromer Pier?
Dogs are allowed on Cromer pier, but not into the Pavilion Theatre or the Lifeboat station. You could also take a lovely walk from the Pier to Cromer Lighthouse walking up the steps in the cliff face just a short distance from the east end of Cromer promenade.

Can you walk to the beach from Blakeney?
From the car park walk onto the shingle ridge towards the sea and turn left. If the tide is out, you can walk along the beach, which is a slightly easier surface to walk.
Where do you park to walk to Blakeney Point?
There is a mixed colony of around 500 seals which can be seen on the beach or from boat trips departing from Morston Quay to Blakeney Point. This is a very popular walk, running for just over 7 miles along the beach and shingle reach. Start the walk from the good sized car park at Cley Beach at the end of Beach Road.
Are dogs allowed on Great Yarmouth Pier?
No dogs are allowed on this part of the beach, but they are very welcome on the North and South beaches, so you can still bring your beloved pet along with you.

Whilst dogs are allowed it is best not to bring them on the beach during the winter as they will disturb the seals.

Is Felbrigg Hall dog friendly?
Felbrigg Hall is a national Trust property, so if you’re a member you get free parking. If you’re not, there’s a small charge. Dogs aren’t actually allowed in the Hall or the Walled Garden (the parts you have to pay for) but they’re welcome to explore the grounds and they’re welcome in the cafe and book shop too.
