Dress for the Weather Generally festivalgoers are comfortable in standard summer clothes, e.g. sleeveless shirts, dresses, and shorts. It’s a good idea to wear something light and breathable so you won’t get overwhelmed during the heat of the day, but you might want to bring a jacket or sweater for the nighttime sets.
What shoes should I wear to ACL?
While sandals go well with festival outfits, they aren’t the most practical option when it comes to traversing around a muddy park. Invest in a pair of sturdy boots, sneakers or closed-toe shoes instead.
What do people wear out in Austin Texas?
Austin is the most casually chic city in Texas. The style is relaxed and trendy, but there’s still that country flair. Distressed denim pants and shorts with a simple top, complemented by a sun hat or fedora, go a long way.
Can you drink at Austin City Limits?
Only empty plastic or aluminum water bottles are permitted, as well as wearable hydration packs with at most two pockets (no glass containers!). Refill stations are available within the park. Outside food and drink are not permitted.
Is Austin City Limits cashless?
It’s called ACL Cashless. The process allows you to link a credit or debit card to your wristband, so you can pay for food, drinks or merch at the festival with a tap of the wrist. You have to register your wristband in advance online.

Will ACL be Cancelled 2021?

How do you stay cool at ACL?

- Stay in an air-conditioned location as much as possible.
- Drink plenty of fluids, even if you do not feel thirsty.

Is ACL a muddy?
When the fest says rain or shine, it means it. The infamous “mud pit” year in 2009 left Zilker Park a sloppy mess after two days of rain, but bands and plenty of fans still stuck it out. The festival has delayed or canceled some individual performances in past years due to inclement weather.
What if it rains during ACL?
In most circumstances, ACL operates as a rain or shine event and continues performances unless the weather forecast threatens the safety of attendees.
Does ACL require clear bags?
ALL bags will be searched before entry. Small clutch purses and fanny packs that are 4.5″ x 5.5″ or smaller do not need to be clear, but can have no more than one pocket. All other bags must be fully clear and made up of clear plastic, vinyl, or pvc, and be no larger than 12″ x 12″ x 6″ ONLY.
Are backpacks allowed at ACL?
Hydration packs are allowed and do not need to be clear but must be emptied of all liquid and have no more than two pockets in addition to the one holding the water reservoir. Any bags larger than 12″ x 12″ x 6” are prohibited.
