OSU students who aren’t enrolled for the semester may purchase an opt-in pass good for unlimited rides for $62. Unlimited access to COTA’s bus system by swiping your student ID when boarding. Does Cota have an app?
Transit App & Smartcard
The Transit app is the software COTA customers must use in order to receive the benefits of fare capping. This app keeps track of how much a customer has paid in fares in a given day and in a given month to ensure they never pay more than the set fare cap.
How do you use the Cota connector app?
Scan and Ride: Simply open your COTA Connector App, tap “My Connector,” tap “Pay As You Go,” and select your pass. After you choose your pass, a QR code will pop-up. Scan your code on the farebox and ride.

What is a COTA? A COTA, or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, does all the duties of an OTA, but has taken an extra step to get certified in their field. Specifically, they registered with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and completed the necessary certification exam.

The OTR evaluates the client, plans therapeutic interventions and completes discharge documents. The OTR also provides clinical supervision of the COTA. The COTA implements and documents the therapeutic interventions, and provides feedback to the OTR on the client’s progress during treatment.

Will I need to get a new BuckID for my new status? It’s optional to replace your card when your status changes. If you decide to replace your card then you’ll need to turn in your old one to get a free replacement.
Can you use a My ticket on any bus?
MyTicket is different from other Merseytravel tickets as it is available from the bus driver and allows all day travel across the bus network without any restrictions. You can buy it on one bus, then use it on another bus as long as it is valid for that day.
