What is the nicest dorm at UW-Madison?

Can I bring a microwave to UW-Madison?
Appliances should not be operated in closets or other closed areas or close to flammable items. Some appliances are provided in residence hall kitchens (see Kitchens section). One microwave per room is permitted and we recommend low wattage.
Are waffle irons allowed in dorms?
Banned appliances usually include toaster ovens, slow cookers, hot plates, waffle irons, rice cookers, broilers, electric skillets and hot plates.

Which UW-Madison dorms have private bathrooms?
For adults, Phillips Hall and Merit Hall rooms have private bathrooms. The bathroom facilities in Smith Hall serve two to three adjacent guest rooms while Ogg Hall bathrooms serve four adjacent guest rooms.

University Housing hall assignments are not made on a first-come, first-serve basis due to multiple admissions decision releases at UW-Madison. What size are UW dorm beds?
A: Residence hall mattresses are 8″ thick by 36″ wide by 80″ long — that’s extra-long — and regular twin size sheets will not fit. You may purchase extra-long twin sheets at your regular shopping center.

Can you vape in college dorm?
Most colleges do not allow smoking at all while on campus, which means vaping in the dorms is typically not permitted. Even so, that doesn’t mean that it never occurs. There are plenty of ways that students can easily cover up the fruity smell and get rid of the smoke, including using what is called a smokebuddy.

Don’t turn up to uni with all your clothes creased and wrinkled. Place heavy items on the bottom of your case, pack the lighter items on top and tucked in at the sides. Also roll as many clothes as you can, they’ll take up less space and you won’t need to get the iron out when you arrive.
