Is Texas building any new power plants?
At present, there are no plans to build new coal or nuclear plants in Texas. But to keep our existing base-load in the mix, and to encourage new investment, we need a pricing mechanism that recognizes the value of coal, nuclear and large gas plants in providing grid security and an adequate reserve margin.
