Lookout Mountain has a nice view but, unless you really, really want to ride the incline railway, save your money and drive to the top of Lookout Mountain. Whether you take the railway or drive yourself, you will have to pay for parking ($2-3 USD for about two hours) either at the railway lot or the streets up top.

Lookout Mountain is tapered on both sides with an escarpment of short cliffs at the crest, so when driving up the mountain you really don’t get a sense of height until right at the top, and then only for about 1/4 mile and most people don’t find it scary at all. Is Ruby Falls Worth the money?
A Big Avoid!! It is too commercialized, way expensive and I was not sure if the falls were being fed by a electric pump or what. They only show you the falls for a few seconds and then turn off the lights in the cave so no one can figure it out!
