The deck’s operating hours are 10:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., and are weather dependent. All guests must remain behind the permanent and temporary barriers on the deck. Guests should not touch the giraffes, as they can quickly swing their heads around when uncomfortable!

For the safety of our animals and guests, please follow all staff directions and remain with the tour group. Please do not touch and/or feed any animals unless instructed by Zoo staff. All tours are walking tours.
Can you feed giraffes at the Zoo?
For the safety of the animals, you are only permitted to feed the food that is provided by the Zoo. The giraffes are on a diet that is carefully monitored and approved by the Zoo Atlanta Veterinary Team.
